From Gideon Freudmann:

This Month

I have a few gigs at the end of the month:

On January 21st, I am playing a couple of school assembly programs in Albany, OR.

On the 22nd, I perform at

Linn Benton Community College at 10am.

It’s at:   6500 Pacific Blvd SW, open to the public and free.

Finally on the 28th, I have library performances in two scenic small towns outside of Portland:

first at the St Helens, OR Library at 11am and then at the

Scappoose Library at 2pm. Sure, I could make a joke about Scappoose, but where’s the challenge?

PCP in the Happy Valley

The Portland Cello Project will be playing in my old stomping ground at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, MA on January 8th. I won’t be able to join them on this tour, but I encourage all my pals in the area to go to the concert and show them some love. While you’re there, be sure to request (nay, demand) that they play Robin Hood Changes His Oil and Denmark. I’m sure they will happily oblige. Playing a couple of my tunes is the very least they can do – after all, I’ve dedicated an entire paragraph to promoting a gig that I can’t even attend myself. I give and give.

Denmark Video

The film created by Two Penguins of PCP playing Denmark, continues to get a lot of hits on youtube, but more significantly, It’s been awarded Best Music Video by the Los Angeles Cinema Festival of Hollywood in 2010.

It has also been accepted into a slew of film festivals (about 40 in all) including ones in London, NYC, Olympia, LA, Chicago, Vancouver, Miami, Bahamas, Amsterdam, Nashville, Las Vegas, Aspen, Athens, Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Cleveland, Alaska (home of the mama grizzlies), Oxford, Boston, Victoria… all very exciting and promising.
